"Herby" is a geological reserve with the area of 145.85 hectares situated in Frysztak and Wiśniowa communes. Rock outcrops, "Brama Frysztacka" (the Frysztak Gate) are protected here.
"Herby" is a geological reserve with the area of 145.85 hectares situated in Frysztak and Wiśniowa communes. Rock outcrops, "Brama Frysztacka" (the Frysztak Gate) are protected here. The Eastern part of the reserve contains Herby Hill and the Western part includes the gorge of the Wisłok River as well as Kopalina Hill. The reserve was established to protect rock outcroppings and picturesque gorge of the Wisłok River called “Brama Frysztacka”. It also preserves forest habitats like beechwood and oak-lime-hornbeam forest.
