"Góra Chełm" is a forest reserve with the area of 155.4 hectares situated in Frysztak commune. A stretch of the Carpathian beech is under protection here.
The „Góra Chełm” reserve was established to protect beech forest which covers Mt Chełm as well as wellhead areas and mineral waters. It is situated in Czarnorzecko-Strzyżowski Landscape Park. Other protected plants in the reserve: Mazereon, Great horsetail, Monkshood, Twayblade, Bird's-nest orchid. Interesting animal species: roe deer, wild boar, Eurasian badger, hawk, Eurasian sparrowhawk, long-eared owl, hawfinch.
