International cross-country skiing event for amateur runners on distances of 25 and 50 km. Accredited by Euroloppet.
International mass cross-country skiing race for amateur runners on distances of 25 and 50 km. Bieg Piastów is the oldest and biggest mass skiing event in Poland. The first race took place in 1976. In 1994 it joined the Euroloppet. In recent years some 4000 competitors enter for various distances, over 2000 take the main distance – 46 km (around 850 complete it, the other followed the 26 km “short-cut”). In 2008 “short-cut” was liquidated. Every year many national and international skiing events are held at the Polana Jakuszycka area. So, to mention a few, we hosted the Junior World Championships and the Czech Championships. More info
